Wales runs north to south with mountains down the middle, and there is no quick way across. Cardiff to Bangor is a genuinely long day, and the roads and the railways both go the long way round to get there.

So treat north and south Wales as separate places when you are choosing. A course in Swansea is close to Bristol and nowhere near Anglesey, whatever the map appears to promise.
